SafePlace Walk - April 24, 2004

SafePlace is a wonderful organization established for victims of domestic violence and any type of sexual abuse.  This is a cause that has a special place for Dr. Percival for a variety of reasons.  Dr. Percival has always wanted to support the Walk, but the event has always occurred on a day that the Cat Hospital was opened and had to work.  This year, the Walk fell on the last Saturday of the month, when we were already scheduled to be closed.  All of the staff of the Cat Hospital wanted to participate.  It was supposed to be a cold and rainy day, but luckily the weather held out.  Thousands of people participated in the event and raised a large sum of money for the facility.  If you would like more information on this wonderful organization, please visit http://www.austin-safeplace.org.
