In December, the
staff of the Cat Hospital of Austin
took a “field trip” to the Austin Cat Show sponsored by CFA (Cat
Fancier’s Association). Janet was like a kid in a candy store and
wanted one cat of every breed that she saw, although her favorites were
the Cornish Rex and Oriental Shorthair. We all had a lot of fun
meeting new people and new cats. We even saw a hairless cat, better
known as a Sphinx. They have a small coat of hair on them that makes
their skin feel like suede.
There is another
Cat Show on February 17th and 18th, sponsored by TICA. I wish all of
our clients that are showing their cats good luck. (There is even a
household pet category, so you don’t have to own a purebred cat to
participate). We will be attending this cat show as well and hope to
share more pictures with you.
