Everyone is familiar with the average domestic cat, but not everyone realizes that cats have different breeds just like there are different breeds of dogs.  The purpose of this section of the website is to simply provide some basic information on various cat breeds.  The information has been obtained from reliable sources such as TICA (The International Cat Association) or CFA (Cat Fancier’s Association) or other reliable sources.  Some of the medical information on each breed is provided by Medical, Genetic, and Behavioral Aspects of Purebred Cats edited by Ross Clark.  This information does not include opinions about the various breeds, it is strictly informative.  Please enter this section of the website and enjoy the many different shapes and sizes of cats.
